Dear Shrink,
I've been having some issues lately. And I'm wondering if you could help me. That's your job isn't it? All right-y then! Haha!
1) My ex is convinced that I want to get back together with him, but I'm not sure I want to. Sometimes he's a real jerk. But I do miss what he used to be like.
2) I got into a fight with one of my "used-to-be friends" I guess that's what you would call it. He says we were never really good friends. Though, talking every night for a full year does make me think that something is wrong when he randomly stops responding to anything I say. Forcing me to say things like "don't ignore me" when I try to talk to him. *confused*
3) I have this terrible blister on my foot. It really has me thinking, should I wear a band-aid on it?
4) I'm GOING SAILING NEXT WEEK and I don't want to! Help!!
Thank you, Shrink. Write back soon!

Dear Person In Need,
ReplyDelete1) forget about your ex. you'll find someone better.
2)This guy seems to be pretty confused as well. I suggest you have a talk with him and put everything on the table. It looks like there may be some hidden feelings in there between you guys.
3)EW, put a band-aid on that thing now!
4)Go sailing, you whiny b!tch.
Dear Person In Need,
ReplyDelete1) If you're not sure about it, it means that something is causing you to hesitate and (obviously) not fully go for it. You need to think hard and address the problem, and then think about why exactly you are thinking this way. It could be more than one thing- it could be many things (who knows?), but either way, you seriously need to sit down and decide what it is. Write a list or something of likes and dislikes about this person. Chances are, if it didn't work once, it's not going to work the second time. Accept and move on. However, if you really really REALLY think you have a chance, then go for it. But be wary and careful! There are always consequences...
2) Bahhaa, give the dude some space. I mean, he prolly does think of you as a friend..but not as close a friend as you think of him. Does that make sense? I mean yeh, that sucks, but some people are just like that. Don't talk to him for about a week and then act completely normal when you talk to him next. That is how to crack that nut.
3) Well, probably. Wow, what an idiot... it's rubbing against your shoe which is aggravating and will rip it open. Wear a band-aid to stop that friction. When you're not wearing shoes, take it off so your blister can breathe.
4) Dude, sailing rocks. It will be a ton of fun and you'll be with cool people probably, so suck it up and go. Trust me, it'll be mad chill.
You're welcome, Person In Need.
